Crystal Wave Stich Crochet Patern Free

The Crystal Wave Stich is a beautifull crochet tecnique that looks like soft waves flowing trought the fabric. Its a very versatill patern, perfect for blankets, scarfs, shawls and even home decor. With a mix of texture and movment, it give a unique charm to any project.

Although it looks a little intricat at first, this patern is actually very easy once you understand the repet. Beginners will love to try it for practicing new stitches, and experiensed crocheters will enjoy its relaxing flow.

Materials

Yarn (any weigth, just check sugested hook size on label)

Crochet hook (apropriate size for your yarn)

Scissors

Yarn needle for weaving ends

Instrucctions

Foundation Chain
Make a starting chain in multiples of 4, ajusting for the widht you want.

Row 1

Work 2 double crochets (or trebles) in the 4th chain from hook.

Skip 3 chains.

Work 1 single crochet into the 4th chain after the skipped ones.

Ch 3.

Make 3 double crochets in the same stitch as the single crochet.

Repete this sequence (skip 3, sc, ch 3, 3 dc) until end of row.

Finish with a single crochet in the last chain.

Chain 3 and turn.

Row 2

Work 2 double crochets in the single crochet from last row.

Make 1 front post single crochet around the 3rd dc of the shell from previous row.

Ch 3.

Work 3 double crochets into the chain-3 space from last row.

Repete this sequence (front post sc, ch 3, 3 dc) to end of row.

Finish with a single crochet in the last ch-3 space.

Chain 3 and turn.

Repeat Row 2
Keep working Row 2 untill you rich the desired lenght of your proyect.

Sugestion of Yarns and Hooks

  • Yarns: Cotton for a clean stitch defenition, acrylic for soft blankets, or blends for extra texture.

  • Hooks: Use the hook size recomended on yarn label, but you can go 1 size bigger if you want a more drapy fabric.
